PROJECT
"Impact of road salting on microbial diversity and resistome in exposed lotic systems."Winter road salting can substantially increase chloride concentrations in adjacent streams, with potentially significant yet insufficiently documented in situ effects on benthic microbial communities that serve as ecological indicators. EFFET-SEL aims to assess these impacts by developing and testing a Stress-Induced Community Tolerance (SICT) approach combined with bacterial metabarcoding.
