Welcoming Foreign Researchers
The H2O’Lyon Graduate School supports partnerships with foreign researchers by funding their sabbatical stays of various duration up to 10 months.
Applicants must hold a position as a researcher or lecturer in an overseas institution, and have a project to be hosted in an H2O'Lyon laboratory for research and training projects on freshwater-related issues.
The application procedures depend on the length of stay.

1 to 4 months
- Application througout the year via call for actions sheets.
- Funding:
- salary-supplement.
- travel costs.
- accommodation costs and per diem rates.
- Selection based on the application.
5 to 10 months
- Partnership with Collegium de Lyon.
- All-inclusive accommodation in the Collegium de Lyon residence and assistance with administrative formalities
- Integration into the annual interdisciplinary promotion of researchers in residence at the Collegium, with participation in the weekly seminar and other scientific activities
- Funding of up to 1,100 euros per month for living expenses by H2O'Lyon, plus travel expenses.
- Annual selection by the H2O'Lyon Steering Committee
Schedule for hosting in 2025 - 2026 :
- Submission of bids by December 16, 2025
- Audition of candidates on January 8, 2026
- Results in January/February 2026
