Research topics

Currently at the end of my PhD, I'm studying the development and toxin production of benthic cyanobacteria in rivers. The aim of my work is to gain a better understanding of the factors influencing benthic cyanobacterial assemblages in order to better prevent their development. I am also looking to identify the factors that can encourage the production of anatoxin-a by cyanobacteria, a neurotoxin that can cause poisoning and death in mammals. I am also interested in the impact of cyanobacterial biofilm development on benthic macroinvertebrate communities.
