Festival entre Rhône et Saône

From June 28, 2024 to June 30, 2024

Berges de la Guillotière, Lyon 7ème

From 28 to 30 June 2024, over 300 events are scheduled to celebrate Lyon's two rivers. Come and discover scientific, historical and sociological conferences and take part in workshops to understand the role of water in our daily lives.

Focus on two events hosted by students on H2O'Lyon courses:

"Fresque lyonnaise des milieux aquatiques"

On Saturday 29 June, students from the Master's in Water Sciences will be on hand at the Berges de la Guillotière for an event focusing on Lyon's aquatic environments!
For 1 hour, discover the complex world of aquatic environment and water management. Divided into 3 batches, participants divided into teams of 5-7 must find the links between the 42 cards to understand :
  • the interactions between the natural environment
  • environmental constraints
  • public policies related to this theme
  • urban development
  • the impact of man on the environment
The public will be invited, in a spirit of fun, to place different game cards on a fresco, with the help and expertise of the master's students, whose mediation should help them to understand the issues at stake in the workshop.

Pop’Sciences Stand

Come and discover the water cycle and the issues involved in a game with a number of challenges: high water and floods; following the path of a drop that will cause the Rhône to overflow its banks; drought: when it's hot, where does the water go? Water on the planet: why is water scarce when it is abundant?
A game developed as part of the Integrated Watershed Sciences master's programme in partnership with the Musée des Confluences.
